Welcome to the Henricopolis Soil & Water Conservation District.
We equip Henrico County citizens with the knowledge, guidance, and support needed to sustainably steward our shared natural resources—moving us closer to a future of clean waters and productive soils.
Our programs that support you.
The Virginia Agricultural Cost-Share Program (VACS) helps farmers implement practices that support crop yield and ecosystem health.
The Virginia Conservation Assistance Program (VCAP) supports landowners & homeowners in controlling erosion, runoff, and flooding.
We support HCPS educators in the creation and facilitation of lively and important environmental education in the classroom and outdoors.
In partnership with the Capital Region Land Conservancy, we protect more than 1200 acres of local farmland and forest through our program.
